The St. Thomas Stars welcomed its newest players to the fold on Saturday, June 8th at the Joe Thornton Arena.

The Stars also signed three affiliated players who will be eligible to play five games for St. Thomas. They will play primarily for their Triple “A” teams next year. They are:
Myles Dunn, Forward.
Brenner Lammens, Forward.
Haydn Taylor, Goaltender.

The process to recruit players is a year long endeavor, according to Associate General Manager, Kevin Linker. “There are tournaments and showcases and different opportunities to watch Triple “A” players progress. We have a list of players we want to key on”, said Linker. The spring camp that took place in April is a big part of who gets invited to become Stars.

Linker is hopeful that the new additions will add to the returning players. “It’s going to be a battle, there is going to be kids fighting to stay on the team”, said Linker.
At this point the Stars are hopefully returning 12 or 13 players from last years team.

Training camp is August 16-18 at the Joe Thornton Arena. Fans can watch the new players in inter squad games on August 17 and 18.
