Stars Welcome New Faces Behind the Bench

The St. Thomas Stars are pleased to announce St. Thomas native, Joe Doyle as Assistant Coach.

Joe Doyle has spent the last two seasons as an Assistant Coach with the London Nationals in the GOJHL. 

In addition to coaching, Joe has been holding the position of President of the St. Thomas Minor Hockey Association for the last 4 years and has served on the board of directors for the last 8 years. he has been involved in coaching in St. Thomas Minor Hockey for the last 10 years. 

During his playing background, he played as a defenceman in the Western Jr B Hockey League between the Strathroy Blades and Aylmer Aces, as well two seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Sarnia Sting.

Kevin Linker will return for his second season as the club’s Goaltending Coach. He will also take on the role of Video Coach.

“We are excited to add both Kevin and Joe to help develop our young athletes and further establish our culture, said General Manager Paul Gibson. “Joe has a proven track record of developing young players in this league and is regarded as a player’s coach and notable in the St. Thomas hockey community. We feel fortunate to add these two to our program to develop our goaltenders and players.”
